Corporate governance: do entrepreneurs use boards well?

Corporate governance good practice says that non-executive directors are good for every board. Good practice, meet reality.
Based on research conducted by ACCA, entrepreneurs don't think that they can afford non-executives. And they also tend to believe that non-executives are simply for larger companies. (As an aside: as a start-up, we had three non-executives on our board from day one. It didn't do us any harm).
