There’s a new kid in town. Bizwiki.co.uk is a new online directory for British businesses.
It’s run on the same premise as most wikis. Namely, it’s free and all articles can be edited and augmented by anyone registered to the site.
Look up your business (www.bizwiki.co.uk); there’s likely to be a listing.
Though, if Caspian Publishing is anything to go by, it’s likely to be wrong (we are no longer based in Millbank Tower). The good news is that if you “claim” your listing, you can keep the business world updated with all your news and, as the registered editor, remove any erroneous information.
Who knows if this’ll be big, but it’s no doubt hoping to replicate the success of Wikipedia.
The owner prefers to remain anonymous, calling him/herself simply "Infoactive". But RB is hot on the case to find out future plans for this fledgling wiki.
In the meanwhile, claim your page – before your competitor does and trashes you.
