Online restaurant booking service boosted by Balderton Capital private equity investment.
Balderton Capital has led a £6.5m funding round for online restaurant reservations and marketing network Livebookings.
Livebookings is part of e-business Profitable.net and brings together nearly 17,000 restaurants and more than 500 independent booking partners online, to create a potential pan-European market of nearly 200 million restaurant guests.
Through a network of booking partners Livebookings enables real time access for diners to reserve tables for free at a range of restaurants that cater for all tastes and budgets including The Ritz, Gordon Ramsay, La Tasca, Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Café.
The company also offers an extensive choice of restaurants across Europe and restaurants can join the network for free.
“Livebookings is a fantastic, easy to use service for the restaurant sector,” said Balderton's Johan Brenner.
“By bringing together booking agents, restaurants and diners it fulfils a vital reservations and marketing role.”
