Stelios: the definitive profile

How Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of easyJet and the easyGroup started out. A classic Real Business profile.

Stelios Haji-Ioannou is one of Britain's few entrepreneurs known simply by their first name. Stelios runs a range of ventures under his "easy" brand, from internet cafes to cinemas to buses to men's toiletries.

He is still best known for easyJet, one of the early movers in the budget airline sector, and the business where he still has a significant stake.

Most recently, he has created the Disabled Entrepreneur of the Year award, in association with Leonard Cheshire Disability. Amar Latif won the first ever Stelios Disabled Entrepreneur Award.
