Women of the Future Awards 2007: winner profiles
by Kate Pritchard - Monday, 11th February 2008 -
Remarkable story by remarkable story, here are the winners of the 2007 Women of the Future Awards, in association with Shell. Each one a business woman with a seriously stellar future.
Lauren Cuthbertson, Nina Raine, Kresse Wesling, Charlotte Crosswell, Dawn Porter, Elizabeth Coffey - all incredible women.
Dawn Porter, for example, went on a radical diet, risking her own health, for the documentary Super Slim Me. She slimmed from a healthy size 12, to a "size 0", and for three months lived on less than 500 calories a day, pushing herself both mentally and physically to transform herself into the "Hollywood Ideal". Dawn is now writing a book about her experience, ultimately to ensure that the fashion industry and media take more responsibility for their actions.
