Braveheart has invested £300,000 (€380,000) in Conjunct, a Livingston-based company developing technology to speed up communications in the datacoms market.
LINC Scotland and Scottish Enterprise’s Co-Investment Fund also participated in the funding round.
Conjunct, which spun out from Heriot-Watt University in 2003, was established to commercialise disruptive technology for short range, high-speed optical communications. The company was built with help from a Scottish Enterprise and Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellowship award.
The company’s Fibre-Lyte technology aims to significantly increase performance over existing copper-based systems.
