Manchester-based KDC, founded in 1985, specialises in the decommissioning, demolition and remediation of hazardous sites in the nuclear, petrochemical and pharmaceuticals sector.
The company is hoping to take advantage of the huge drive in the UK to clean up hazardous sites, with increasing government spend in the sector and mounting pressure for the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries to clean up large plants.
KDC has forecast turnover in excess of £20m in the next 12 months.
Working capital for the deal was provided by Yorkshire Bank with YFM Private Equity providing mezzanine finance.
