About us

Our mission at Real Business is to connect and inspire successful entrepreneurs in the UK and across the world; and to speak about the excitement of entrepreneurship in the direct, no-nonsense language of its real practitioners – dynamic people running their own businesses.

Real Business was launched in 1997 by a team of entrepreneurs who still drive the editorial agenda. The magazine reaches an ABC-audited audience in the UK of more than 100,000 entrepreneurs, owner-directors and directors each month.

Here at RealBusiness.co.uk you get:

• “Daily Insights” with successful entrepreneurs
• Superstar entrepreneurs – “Live”
• Weekly updates on celebrity-entrepreneurs via our newsletter
• Real Business blog and its insights into the environment for entrepreneurs
• Lively debate at the Real Business Forum.
• Searchable archive of ten years of Real Business articles.

Real Business also hosts spectacular events such as the Growing Business Awards; First Women Awards; Women of the Future awards; Entrepreneurs’ Summit; Asian Women of Achievement awards; and Editors’ Lunches.

• 12 PPA short-listings
• BSME Editor of the Year shortlisting.

We've also been humbled to get readers' feedback, such as these words from Edward Perry, managing director of the great little business, Cook:

“I can honestly say that part of our small but growing success is directly attributable to ideas that we have acted upon after reading articles in the magazine. Real Business is inspiring, practical and thoroughly entertaining”

Most of all, we hope that what you find here inspires you on your own entrepreneurial journey.
