Dragons’ Den: Where are they now?
by Rebecca Burn-Callander - Thursday, 21st August 2008 - - Business comment
If you (like us) were wondering whatever happened to all those businesses that faced the Dragons’ wrath in the Den over the past six series, look no further.
The kind folk at the BBC have put up a “Where are they now” page to satisfy our curiosity! Some movers and shakers (like Reggae Reggae Sauce) have seen stratospheric success: it’s hard to miss the rows of bottles in Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. But remember oldies but goldies like the EggXactly?
James Seddon gave a pretty good pitch that day, but fell on his backside when his egg-toasting product proved defective. A year on, Seddon has cracked these issues and has an order for 4,000 of these widgets in the pipeline.
How about the Bedlam Cube? These were a huge hit the Christmas after the show aired. Since then, inventor Danny Bamping seems to have gone to ground. But the BBC’s sources say he’ll soon be back with a new concept: Crazee Thingz.
Check out the fortunes of these contestants and more on the BBC website.
